Cambria and Wine Tasting

It's amazing how a night away can be so refreshing and just what you need to clear the mind. Danny & I love our quick getaways. We went through San Miguel and Paso Robles' wine country, stopping to buy and taste, just a bit. But first, breakfast at Jack Ranch Café to plan our trip.

First stop VSJ to make a quick purchase of some of our favorites.... Petite Sirah, Alicante Bouschet & Grenache. Then a first time visit to the Graveyard vineyards to taste some of their red blends. Making another stop to purchase at Volk Wine then off to another first time visit to Adelaida  with hopes to try their Pinot Noir's, but due to the freeze of 2011 they were unable to produce this delicate wine, but we will be back.

We got to Cambria and stayed at  San Simeon Pines resort. This is our first time at this motel. The place is outdated, but very clean and a great location. They have a little chip-n-put 9 hole golfcourse that would be great fun in better weather. But, we are not complaining to see the much-needed rain come the next morning. We enjoyed our dinner at the Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill.
Next morning was started at The Redwood Café in downtown Cambria then a pleasant little stop at the Fermentations  to get out of the rain where they serve small boutique wines from local wineries.

Then, per usual silly Stacy behavior.... we try on some hats.  Love this man and our time together.
